The Door in the Wall- a Review

The Door in the Wall by Marguerite De Angeli

I needed to read this book for school. This book is about a boy named Robin, who was 10 years old. He lived in London in the Middle Ages. His mother was a queen's helper and his father was a knight. They had to leave him.

Robin got very sick and he became lame. He got crutches and went places with the crutches. A monk, named Luke, took care of him and the other monks took care of him too.

Robin, Brother Luke and John-go-in -the-Wynd were the main characters. John-go-in-the-Wynd helped Brother Luke. They went to a town where Robin's parents were, but they couldn't find them.

The Welsh came and attacked the town. Robin spied on them in the very thick fog. The Welsh thought he was a shepherd and brought him into the camp place. The Welsh lost the battle. Then Robin found his father and mother. The king rewarded him and his father and mother were proud of him.

This story taught me that even if you're sick or lame, you can still do lots of good things.
